Terms of use
These terms cover the use of this website. They are short because the service is small: Hialeah Trusted Water Damage passes a description of a water damage problem to one restoration contractor working in this area, and stops there.
Using the site means accepting what follows. If any of it does not suit you, the remedy is not to send a request, and nothing is owed either way.
A request is an inquiry, not an appointment
Sending a request through this site starts a conversation. It does not book a visit, hire anybody, commit you to spending money, or oblige any contractor to attend, quote or reply. Nothing is dispatched to a property because a form was submitted.
There is no charge to you for using the site or for anything that follows from a request. Any price you are eventually quoted is that contractor's, arrived at by them, and it is theirs to justify.
We may decline to pass a request on. A request that appears to be automated, abusive or sent to test the form is not forwarded to anybody, and no explanation is owed for that.
We are not a party to the work
Any agreement you reach after a quote is between you and that contractor. We are not the contractor, not a subcontractor, not an agent for either side, and not a guarantor of what is agreed.
That means the things a customer cares about are theirs and not ours: the scope, the price, the schedule, the standard of the work, the insurance behind it, and whatever warranty is written into the contract. If something goes wrong on a job, the contract you signed is the document that governs it.
It also means the checks before the work are worth doing yourself. About this quote service sets out what Florida licenses in this trade and what a certificate of insurance is, and neither of those is a statement about anybody in particular.
What the writing on this site is, and is not
The pages here describe statutes, published insurance forms, federal guidance and city and county documents, and they link the source and print the date it was read. That is done so you can check them rather than take our word for it.
It is general information about published documents. It is not legal advice, it is not an insurance recommendation, and it is not an engineering or building opinion about any particular property. Nobody here has seen your building. A question about who is liable in a specific dispute, about what a particular declaration or policy means, or about a claim that has been refused, is a question for a Florida attorney or for a licensed adjuster.
Statutes are amended, insurance forms are reissued, and a document that was accurate on the date printed beside it may not be accurate later. Where the date matters, it is on the page.
The images are illustrations rather than records. Not one of them was taken at a property, none of them shows work anybody performed, and none is offered as evidence of either.
Using the form and the rest of the site
The form is for describing a real water damage problem at a real property. Do not use it to advertise, to send automated traffic, to attempt to get at anything the site does not publish, or to submit somebody else's details as though they were yours.
The text, layout, images and code on this site belong to us. Quoting a passage with a link back is welcome and needs no permission. Copying pages wholesale, or reproducing the site, is not.
Links leaving this site go to statutes, government pages, a federal agency and a state licensee register. Those documents are their publishers' and can move or change without us knowing, so a link that no longer resolves is worth telling us about rather than trusting.
Availability, changes and the law that applies
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be reachable at any given moment, and we do not promise that everything on it is free of error, although a mistake pointed out is a mistake fixed.
These terms can change. The date at the top of the page is when they were last reviewed, and the version published here is the one that applies.
Florida law governs the use of this site and these terms. Nothing here is intended to limit a right you have under Florida consumer law that cannot be limited by agreement.
